Standard Modern Amharic Lexicon (SMAL)
Summary: Three major lexicons are merged to produce a lexical reference for canonical and acceptable spelling in the Amharic language. The work is to be undertaken by the Addis Ababa University Amharic Department. The initial phase will focus on the word forms only, a later phase will integrate the glosses. The output of the work will be a public reference lexicon for future research, public, and commercial activity.
